Single mom Kacie Jensen’s life completely changed when she met dreamy, easygoing hockey star Brody Murphy and fell into a love affair she’d never imagined possible. Now, it seems like nothing can get in the way of their blossoming relationship—until Kacie’s ex-boyfriend and the father of her twin girls appears after a five-year absence, begging to be let back into their daughters’ lives.
With Brody’s game schedule turning their relationship long-distance, Kacie can keep her ex’s reappearance a secret for a while. She doesn’t want to hide her ex from Brody, but this news could take his head out of the game during the most important year of his hockey-playing career. Worse yet, it could drive her greatest love out of her life forever. Can Kacie do right by her daughters and keep Brody’s heart now that her past has unexpectedly returned?
WOW. This series is just… WOW. I honestly don’t know how to put any of my feelings into words that will convince you to read this other than READ THIS!
Book two in the Cranberry Inn Series is just as amazing as book one.
Here is a re-cap of the story so far: Kacie meets professional hockey player Brody Murphy when a storm hits her home town and Brody get’s stuck in the rain (Literally. His truck gets stuck in her driveway and he is forced to call it a night until the weather clears up. He ends up staying at the Inn the Kacie and her mum run together and things start from there. Their chemistry from the beginning is palpable. Brody falls for Kacie hard. But Kacie puts up walls to keep herself from getting hurt again after her boyfriend and father of her twin girls leaves them without anymore than a short note on the back of a receipt, never to be heard from again.
ROOM FOR MORE picks up where ROOM FOR YOU left off. and we get to meet Zach (ex) and learn his reasons for his disappearing act. I absolutely loathed him at first, but Beth and her way with words made me understand. She made me stop and listen and understand why Zach did what he did. I actually liked him by the end, and I’m glad. All the characters in this series are amazing, even the ones you want to hate.
The story is written so incredibly well that I honestly couldn’t stop reading. I had to finish it NOW, but at the same time I didn’t want it to end. It’s funny, heart-felt, moving, emotional and again, swoon factor at an all time high!
“Mum, can you make us eggs?” she whined. “Brody said he’d do it but we had to pay him a hundred dollars. We don’t have any money.”
If you loved Brody in the first installment of this series, let me tell you, YOU WILL LOVE HIM MORE in this book. Not possible you say? Well, believe it! This guy is out of this world. He is the most incredibly caring, loyal, swoon-worthy male I have ever read about and I will take him with me and hold onto him very tightly for the rest of my life. Protective is a word that comes to mind when I think of Brody. I will be so protective of him. He is THAT amazing. The love he has for both Kacie and the girls is far beyond anything I have ever experience. It’s beautiful to see how those little things he does for them make him the most irresistible book boyfriend to date.
If anyone ever asked me to, it would be really hard to describe exactly what love looks like, but I got to witness it firsthand every time Kacie looked at her girls.
I mean, see? amazing.
I really don’t want to say much about the story. But what’s weird is that it’s not a book that’s jam-packed with action, there really isn’t a lot but it’s just the way the story is written it’s just perfect. It’s real, it’s believable, it’s things that can happen to anyone really.
This series has sky rocketed to the top of my list as one of my favourite book series EVER.
If you haven’t read book one, ROOM FOR YOU, you really need too. Book two is NOT a standalone.
This series is incredible. I have loved reading it SO much that I wish I could erase my memory and do it all over again for the first time. I haven’t smiled and laughed so much in a book in a very long time. I teared up, but for beautiful reasons.
“You are my future Kacie, You’re my present and my future and if I could figure out a way to invent a damn time machine, you’d be my past.”
Beth Ehemann, you have written an incredible love story that will stay with me for a very long time.
Thank you <3
