I had the absolute honour of receiving an ARC of Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover herself. For those of you who know me, understand how much I adore Colleen and everything she does. So to be giving an opportunity to read this book before its release, was the most incredible feeling ever. Thank you Colleen!! <3

For five whole hours, my entire world stopped. I took a journey. It was incredible. If given the chance to take it again for the very first time, I would, just to experience this feeling, over and over and over again. Nothing will ever come close to the way I felt while reading this book. It’s difficult to describe. It’s kind of like when something makes its way into your soul, and takes your heart with it. It goes deeper than just a love for a book, for an author and for their characters. It’s pure and it’s honest and its real. That’s what Maybe Someday was for me.

For a large part of book, I held my hand to my heart. It ached. It ached so badly and I loved every single minute of it. There were tears, lots of tears, laughs, heart breaking twists and incredible revelations. It was all planned out and written to absolutely perfection. I have the most amazing book hanger over right now and its going to take something incredibly special to knock this story off the top of my list.

Writing this review is actually incredibly difficult. Maybe Someday was honestly like nothing I had ever read before, and it’s definitely one that you need to go into blind. Not knowing anything but the synopsis, magnified the experience ten-fold for me, and it was amazing. So I wont be discussing the plot at all. But this story is so different, so uniquely special and not what I ever expected. Yes, it is a love story. Yes, you will swoon, and cry, and laugh, and hold you breath but it all happens in the most unique way possible, and Colleen absolutely nails it.

As you probably know, this book is accompanied with a CD. I had bought the music when it came out a few weeks back but I am so glad that I didn’t listen to it prior to reading the story. Hearing the music for the first time, while reading the lyrics throughout the book was what made this experience so incredible for me. It took the understanding of not only the story, but also the characters, to a whole other level. I connected with them. I understood them and I loved them so much more.

Colleen’s writing style is flawless. Her story telling is beautiful and she captures you with each world. This story was very well thought out. It wasn’t rushed and it was told perfectly. Every situation was handed with respect, and every character was given the perfect amount of attention.

Sydney and Ridge are incredible characters. I loved Ridge, so much. He’s sexy, so incredibly sweet and sensitive, and just the perfect guy. Their connection is nothing like I’ve ever felt before. Their respect and love for each other and their passion for music was so beautiful to experience. Their slow building connection kept me turning pages to see where it headed.

A few words from me to Colleen Hoover & Griffin Peterson

Colleen, what an incredibly talented woman you are. You blow me away every single time. This book was absolutely, hands down, one of the best books I have ever read, and I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your honesty and thank you for giving us these incredible stories that continue to change me in the best way possible. Thank you.

Griffin, your talent is beyond anything I have ever heard and I wanted to say thank you to you too. Thank you for pouring your soul into this music, because I heard you, I felt you and it was the most incredible experience I have ever had while sitting in the comfort of my own home, reading. Thank you.

This book is one of a kind. This story was incredible. You need to read this book. It has found its way into my heart, and will be forever embedded in my soul.
